Mrs. Marquez has experience in participating in Boards, she has served in small and large local boards such as: Lifeworks, Emancipet, Mexican American Cultural Center, Connecther, and Lulac district 12. Mrs. Marquez holds a BS in Industrial Relations from Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO) and a MS in Human Resource Management from Houston Baptist University. Her continuing education efforts include studies in neurolinguistic programming and a Project Management. Her career started in Mexico as a Human Resource Generalist for a Major Soccer Club, followed by an extensive career as an International Ambassador for the St. Luke’s Hospital/Texas Heart Institute in Houston where she functioned as marketer of the hospital’s services in both Italy and Mexico. Mrs. Marquez was the Deputy Chief Executive Officer/Chief Administrative Officer of Texas CASA August 2012 to January 2019. Texas CASA, a nonprofit organization with the mission to support seventy-one local CASA volunteer advocacy programs and to advocate for effective public policy for children in the child protection system. Mrs. Marquez is a multicultural and multilingual (English, Spanish, Italian) perspective, which aided her to build international and diversity relationships for the different companies she worked for throughout her career. Mrs. Marquez enjoys traveling, learning about different customs and cultures, hobbies include genealogy, cooking and learning new languages. |
